Your daily role

  • Improving and documenting payroll processes. Resolving payroll discrepancies by analyzing information. Reviewing and preparing payroll data and reports to share with HR Manager to identify areas of improvement from a cost-base perspective;
  • Accurate logging of employee timesheets, approving vacations and leaves, ensuring the accuracy of all employee information (hard copy and internal soft copies) are valid, secure and confidential;
  • Processing financial compensations and deductions, leaves of absences and wage increases;
  • Working with Human Resource team to understanding changes to employee pay grades, job titles, job functionalities, etc. that can affect staffing needs;
  • Correctly inputting employee information from the onboarding to off boarding/termination process;
  • Full understanding of the LMIA/TFW Employment Program with understanding to staffing levels needed for a successful Bulk/Pack Production Season each year;
  • Timely responses to phone calls, emails, faxes, and other internal and external communication sources;
  • Formulating methods to improve employment policies, process and practices while creatively recommending change;
  • Coordinating and delegating tasks to the appropriate person of the team;
  • Maintaining complete discretion and upholding the highest standard for confidentiality due to the sensitivity to the information that is accessible to the PRC;
  • Other duties as assigned

Your profile

  • University or College Degree, Diploma or Certificate specifically related to Human Resources or equivalent in Business and/or Administrative education.
  • Payroll, accounting and benefits competencies – in a manufacturing industry is considered an asset;
  • Experience with onboarding and off boarding processes;
  • Experience using payroll platforms – DayForce and Kronos is considered an asset;
  • Technological competencies in Google+ platforms (ex: Drive, Meet, Sheets, Slides, Docs, etc.) and Microsoft Office platforms (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.);
  • Proficiency in typing, note taking, and multitasking and prioritizing various duties with precise attention to detail;
  • Working collaboratively in team based atmosphere, contributing and sharing ideas while encouraging others with a positive attitude;
  • Time management and organizational skills
